The 1950s in America were a time of prosperity, known as the golden 50 years
following the end of World War II.
The open-collar shirts that became popular during this era
were known as sports shirts and rockabilly shirts,
becoming a beloved style among the masses and an icon of the times.
This relaxed-fit open shirt with a boxy silhouette
is inspired by that history.
The round flap pockets, short length,
and slightly small collar
are styles unique to this historical background.
The collar and flaps are carefully finished with interlining
that requires high technical skill to maintain their shape.
The pockets are cut on the bias,
and the back yoke is pattern-matched.
Features a black Glen check on a blue base.
The dry texture of the cotton-linen blend
makes it an ideal material, especially for midsummer.
This is a short-sleeve style.
ABOUT FABRIC
To create a rustic texture, the fabric is woven with
a cotton-linen blend yarn in both the warp and weft,
with nep yarn blended into the warpto highlight the neps,
