Open Shirt "Francis"

The 1950s in America were a time of prosperity, known as the Golden Fifty Years,
and open-collar shirts became popular during this era.
Known as sports shirts or rockabilly shirts,
they became a beloved style that came to symbolize the era.
This open-collar shirt features a relaxed,
boxy silhouette inspired by that history.

Round flap pockets, a cropped length,
and a slightly smaller collar
are styles unique to this era.
The collar, sleeves, and flaps are carefully finished with interlining,
a technique-intensive process that preserves their full shape.
The pockets and back yoke are pattern-matched.

Smooth cotton twill woven from
natural-colored heather yarn.
A lightweight material that provides a striking contrast
against the basic design.
The urea buttons feature a gradient of sax blue
on a navy base, adding a distinctive accent.

This product is available in long sleeves only.

ABOUT FABRIC
Cotton twill woven in the traditional Banshu weaving region
(Nishiwaki City, Hyogo Prefecture) in Japan.
Heather yarn is made by blending multiple colors
into a single thread.
Top-dyed yarn is made by blending cotton fibers dyed in several colors
before spinning them into yarn,
creating a rich, distinctive color with a unique character.
