Lot.526 Work Trousers

In the 1940s, workwear became the mainstream clothing style
and numerous workwear brands emerged in the United States.
Amidst fierce competition, each brand strove to develop its own unique identity,
leading to the creation of these work pants.
These khaki cotton trousers reproduce the meticulous craftsmanship
of that era.

The silhouette features a three-dimensional, mid-straight cut.
Clean single side seams and narrow belt loops
(accommodating belts up to 30 mm)give it a formal appearance.
Two types of selvedge are used throughout the garment,
evoking the atmosphere of the era.
It features a brass TALON semi-automatic
front zipper.

The khaki "weapon" fabric is based on
U.S. military uniforms from the 1940s and 1950s.
Produced using traditional methods,
this durable and reliable cotton fabric combines a lustrous appearance
with a smooth touch that conforms to the body.

ABOUT THE FABRIC
Combed yarn is made by combing out approximately 20% of the short,
immature fibers during the final stage of spinning cotton
(a process similar to combing hair with a comb to remove unwanted fibers).
By carefully removing short fibers and selecting only long ones,
the yarn becomes stronger, less prone to pilling,
and develops a very pleasant feel, making it a premium cotton yarn.
The fabric is woven in a twill pattern using 36-count two-ply yarn in the warp
and 24-count two-ply yarn in the weft.
This is called "weapon"
(waist point).
